Draft for testing; to be reviewed before public launch.

Privacy Policy

Version 0.1 (draft) · Effective

The short version

Who we are

All Brain No Luck is a puzzle game for families, made by Cavies Studio in Australia. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean Cavies Studio. The policy covers the All Brain No Luck app and this website.

For anything about privacy, email privacy@allbrainnoluck.com.

What the app collects today

The app is in testing. Test builds work entirely on your device: there is no account, no server and no online feature.

Kept on your device only

All of this stays in the app's private storage on the device. It isn't sent to us or to anyone else, so we can't see it. The app uses it only to run the game: to show each player's profile, pick puzzles, save progress and remember settings.

Not collected

What will change later

We plan to add optional online features, such as a parent account, family leaderboards and syncing progress across a family's devices. Before any of them ship, we will update this policy to explain what they collect, why, where it is stored and which service providers help us. Where the law requires it, we will ask a parent for consent first. Until then, nothing leaves the device.

Children and parents

All Brain No Luck is made for children aged 6 and up to play with their families. It is designed to be set up and managed by a parent or guardian.

See, export or delete your data

In the Grown-ups area you can:

Deleted data can't be recovered, because we never had a copy. Uninstalling the app also deletes everything it stored on the device.

Downloads and purchases

You get the app from Apple's App Store or Google Play. Apple and Google handle downloads, payments and refunds under their own terms and privacy policies, and we never see your payment details. If the app offers purchases in future, such as a Family Plan, they will sit behind the parental gate.

If you allow it in your device settings, Apple or Google may share crash reports and app statistics with us that don't identify you. If you join a test through TestFlight or Google Play, they also share what you give them for the test, such as your email address and any feedback you send.

This website and email

This website has no cookies, analytics, ads or third-party scripts. Our host, Cloudflare, processes basic request data such as IP addresses to deliver the pages and protect the site from attacks. We don't use it to identify visitors.

If you email us, we receive your email address and what you write. We use them only to answer you and handle your request.

How long we keep information

Data in the app stays on the device until you delete it in the Grown-ups area or uninstall the app. We keep emails only as long as we need them to help you and to keep a record of privacy requests, and then we delete them.

Security

The app keeps its data in its private storage on your device, where other apps can't read it, and your device's screen lock and encryption protect it too. Test builds don't send your data over the internet, and this website is served only over HTTPS. If a data breach ever affected you, we would tell you and the authorities as the law requires.

International users

We're based in Australia and follow the Australian Privacy Principles, including APP 8 on sending personal information overseas. Today nothing is sent to us or overseas, because the app keeps its data on your device. If we start using service providers in other countries, for example to host online features, we will name them and their countries here first.

We design the app with children's privacy laws in mind wherever it is offered, such as the GDPR in the EU and the UK (and the UK's Age Appropriate Design Code), the US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), Brazil's LGPD and ECA Digital, and similar laws elsewhere.

Wherever you live, you can ask us what we hold about you or your child, and ask us to correct or delete it. If you're unhappy with our answer, you can complain to your local data protection authority; in Australia, that's the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

Changes to this policy

We will update this policy as the app changes; the version and date at the top show which one you're reading. If a change affects what we collect, such as adding online features, we will tell parents in the app before it takes effect, and ask for consent where the law requires it.
